Frequently Asked Questions
Is carbon steel hard to care for?
Actually it is quite easy! Just rinse and dry thoroughly after use. If you are feeling extra motivated you can add some seasoning oil on occasionally. Carbon steel is quite robust and will last for generations.
Will food stick to carbon steel?
Even delicate foods like crepes and eggs won't stick to carbon steel when preheated properly. You can test that the pan has reached temperature by sprinkling a few drops of water onto the surface—when it forms a droplet that glides around the pan, you're ready to cook.
Does it work on induction?
Yes. Carbon steel works fantastic on induction countertops, heating up rapidly and evenly.
What size should I choose?
Our 12" Crepe Pro fits every home burner and is the classic French crepe size. Choose 14" (The 726) for versatile family cooking, dosas, and pizzas, or 16" for large ranges and crêperie-scale spreads.
